Human Resources Manager
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a HR Manager to work for one of the UK’s leading providers of health cash plans. We are a fast growing and forward thinking friendly society. This role is a key appointment that will form part of the management team, supporting the board to make informed strategic decisions. This position offers a real opportunity to make a mark on the HR function, the service it provides and will have a visible commercial input.
The Role & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Finance Director, the HR Manager will be responsible for all HR issues. This position will advise and guide the management team both at a strategic and operational level. The HR Manager will be responsible for the development of the HR strategy to ensure that the HR function is supporting the Society to achieve its objectives. A proven generalist you will be proficient across all areas of HR and employment law and be used to coaching management in their people management and development skills.
Operationally you will be responsible for:
Effective management of all recruitment activity and talent management (including management of recruitment agencies).
All HR systems.
New starter processing and administration.
Maintenance of employment benefits and administration.
Updating of HR policies and procedures in line with current legislation.
Handling all employee relations issues.
Provision of up to date employment law advice.
The Person
You will be of degree calibre and a Chartered Member of the CIPD with a proven track record in a generalist or senior HR role. You will have experience of working in a fast paced organisation. It is essential that you have experience of managing and developing people. You will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships and credibility at all levels. You will have the ability to translate organisational objectives into HR policies. A genuinely “hands-on” work ethic is necessary. It is essential that you are IT literate; experience of using customer relationship management databases is desirable.

Office based with potential overnight stays
37.5 hour working week
