What range of healthcare products do you offer?
Voluntary healthcare cash plan schemes; tailored company-sponsored healthcare cash plan schemes, and employee assistance programmes.

What support do you give your client companies?
Total support. Our teams will launch your chosen scheme to all your employees across single or multiple sites, with consultants on-site to offer friendly consultative advice. We’ll also offer assistance with administration including how to set up payroll deductions if your scheme is voluntary.

How fast do you settle claims?
We’re renowned for settling claims promptly, usually within 2 days. Health Shield has a Key Performance Indicator of paying 85% of all claims within a 2 day period. Payment is by cheque or for even greater speed, by direct credit into the member’s bank account.

Do employees need to have a medical examination?
No. Healthcare Cash Plan membership application forms include a simple declaration of good health. If the applicant has an existing condition (excluding dental and optical conditions) we will send them a confidential Health Declaration Form directly to their home address. It’s as simple as that.

Company Sponsored Tailored Schemes can opt to have pre-existing conditions waived by paying a higher premium.
