As a UX/Digital Designer you will be working with marketing and technology teams to improve the Health Shield online experience and drive business growth. You will be a customer champion, passionate about creating user centred solutions that deliver a seamless, intuitive experience for our customers. Highly self-motivated and passionate about design and improving user experience, you will thrive in the fast pace environment.

You will also be someone who can manage the production of all digital assets, from the website to marketing channels, and shaping how customers perceive the organisation. You will work with the relevant teams to create stunning and solid designs from concept to production and ensure consistency across the user journey, craft how people will interact with the products and services they design and be responsible for all digital artwork design (website, emails, display and paid social advertising).

You will explore how the organisation can communicate more effectively through interaction and motion design, utilising the expressiveness of the web medium to create delightful experiences for the customers and support the marketing team, creating logos, well thought infographics, creative presentations, and consistent brand guidelines.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Create concept sketches, user flows, wireframes and prototypes to bring the solutions to life in a seamless and intuitive journey
  • Test the digital customer journey and new concepts to validate hypotheses and iterate on solutions
  • Support and input to A/B testing plans
  • Create fully annotated UX specs, deliver design and development
  • Partner with the content team to ensure we deliver user centred, consistent and engaging brand and campaign experiences that deliver to the brief
  • Working alongside the Marketing team to produce communications with high visual impact to bring the customer journey alive
  • Build relationships across the business in order to understand departmental needs and create a seamless digital user experience
  • Collaborate with our internal developers and development partners, working in an agile methodology, to ensure the implementation meets the design specification
  • Conduct diligent cross-browser and cross-device design to ensure all releases meet strict acceptance criteria
  • Build understanding of our CMS, current capabilities, limitations and future roadmap opportunities
  • Responsible for all digital design elements for social, website, email and media
  • Track usability reports and prepare reports for senior management
  • Conduct usability tests across the customer journey and create a report to demonstrate your findings

Education, Skill and Knowledge Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in user experience, interaction design, information architecture or related field
  • Proven experience delivering user-centred design projects across multi-function disciplines
  • Ability to own and articulate design decisions
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in designing for responsive digital products
  • Portfolio, or examples showcasing experience, in planning and creating intuitive digital experiences
  • Strong experience with design tools such as Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript is a plus
  • AGILE scrum experience: working in sprints with backlogs and feature sets
  • Solid experience of sketching, wireframing and prototyping to visualise your ideas
  • Fluency in industry software including Invision, Axure, Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a team collaborator
  • Has a solid understanding of the interplay between typography, colour, and motion, and their roles in visual communication.
  • Ability to work on a number of different projects at any one time
  • Work with internal stakeholders to create cohesive designs that reflect the Health Shield USP, cultures and goals
  • Ability to challenge the current model to improve the overall online and offline customer experience

Work arrangements: Permanent, full time (Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week)
