This position has prime responsibility for promoting all areas of Health Shield to stakeholders, encouraging the enrolment of new individual members within designated company groups. You will assist the Society in achieving its strategic goals and Balance Scorecard objectives including increasing membership sales and premium income, and at the same time increasing ‘value’ to the Society. To represent the Society to both companies and individuals in a professional manner at all times.

This role will cover the West Midlands.

Principle Accountabilities

  • To achieve sales target based on agreed balanced scorecard, membership, premium income and business metrics
  • To achieve appropriate voluntary/tailored business mix and value
  • To provide referrals for Prevent to the appropriate team
  • To carry out sales in a compliant manner in line with Health Shield and GDPR sales guidelines
  • To arrange and carry out recruitment drives within designated company groups.
  • To represent Health Shield at occasional Flex roadshows, where required
  • To visit tailored accounts where value is identified
  • To fulfil requirements of new account launch visit schedule and presentations
  • To provide a monthly report to the Head of Employee Wellbeing Consultants outlining activities during the month and detailing forward planning for the next month
  • To ensure that the CRM database is kept up to date, in line with company procedures
  • Take part in all meetings, conference calls and training as required
  • To work and collaborate with other members of the Employee Wellbeing Consultant team, Business Relationship Managers, Health & Wellbeing Consultants and Account Manager, where appropriate
  • To develop opportunities for sales from within the Health Shield product portfolio and refer lead to the appropriate team
  • To establish and maintain good relationships with existing account Decision Making Units and to provide service to them as appropriate
  • To plan diary six weeks in advance in line with strategic sales plan and direction of Head of Employee Wellbeing Consultants by working with Sales Support
  • Gain wider industry knowledge to ensure we are advising stakeholders of the Society’s key unique selling points over competitors
  • Ensure key stakeholders needs and requirements are met in line with the benefits and services provided by the Society
  • Work closely with Management to recommend and adapt good working practice
  • To perform other duties as requested by the Sales Management team i.e. to participate in training and competence programmes
  • To adhere and comply with all company policies and procedures including expenses and mileage submissions and relevant activity recording
  • To ensure all company property is kept in good condition and full working order. This includes Society car, laptop, mobile phone, display equipment and sales aids
  • To consistently role model the company values and behaviours and encourage others to do the same.

Education, Skill and Knowledge Required

  • Relevant sales and industry training
  • Proven track record in sales
  • Good communication and relationship building skills
  • IT and CRM literate

Work arrangements: Permanent, full time (Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week)
