It’s been an annual tradition since the very early days for Health Shield to hit the road to meet and greet our members. The executive team here at Health Shield travel the country to talk directly with our members about company strategy and business performance, and answer any questions that may come up in the Society’s annual Area Meetings.
These meetings provide the ideal opportunity for Health Shield to present the latest Annual Report and Accounts and share performance over the last 12 months.
In the first quarter of every year, we visit 4 cities around the UK to sit down with representatives from our 200,000 plus members. On Monday 16th March we will be in Glasgow before moving down to Manchester (17th), Birmingham (18th) and finally London (19th). This culminates in the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in May, which this year is being held in Edinburgh. We are proud to be one of the only health cash plan providers to continue to hold these meetings and we feel it is vital to maintain the excellent relationship with our members.
At Health Shield we pride ourselves on listening to our members and identifying their needs. We live in a digital age and, although we receive excellent feedback through surveys and other communication channels, it is always good to speak face to face and really engage with Health Shield members. Treating customers fairly is at the heart of what we do which is why it is so important for us to hold these meetings and take the opportunity to let our members have their voice heard, safe in the knowledge that the Board will listen to them and act on their suggestions.
Health Shield is committed to providing affordable healthcare and improving the overall health and wellbeing of as many people as possible and these meetings provide a great opportunity for us to ensure we are continuing to do this.
If you would like to become a representative of Health Shield and attend these meetings in 2016 and beyond you can contact Louise Pinnegar on 01270 588555.
If you attending one of the meetings next week, thank you for your continued support. I look forward to seeing you there.
