Having grown market share organically during the last two years, becoming the 4th largest health cash plan provider in the UK, local company Health Shield Friendly Society has been listed in The Sunday Times Top 100 Not-For Profit Organisations to Work For.

It is another tremendous accolade for the company in the last 4 months, after they received a prestigious industry award in October 2013, when they were crowned Best UK Healthcare Cash Plan Provider.

Employees were asked to fill in a full questionnaire on their experience of working for Health Shield, and the results placed them in the top 100 for the second consecutive year, this time at number 60.

The Sunday Times event recognises staff engagement and Health Shield is proud of its achievement in being listed once again. The awards look at all aspects of the work place including wellbeing, performance, leadership and personal growth.

Chief Executive Jonathan Burton says: “Health Shield takes the health and wellbeing of its employees very seriously, and this ethos is reinforced by our attractive workplace benefits. It is what we are about as a company after all.
