Health Shield gets on the road to meet members

Health Shield is hitting the road during March, on its annual area meetings tour of the UK.

The award-winning health cash plan provider will be meeting members in Glasgow, Leeds, Birmingham and London, before hosting its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in May.

The aim of the area meetings is to meet face-to-face with delegates who represent members, sharing the Friendly Society’s strategy and business performance over the previous 12 months, while listening and responding to their feedback. The non-profit making organisation has hosted area meetings since its formation in 1877 – and is one of the only health cash plan providers that still meets annually with representatives before the formal AGM.

Jonathan Burton, Chief Executive of Health Shield, said: “Health Shield prides itself on delivering excellent customer service and satisfaction, through personal relationships and listening to members’ needs.

“In an age of emails, text messages and ‘phone conversations, we believe it’s extremely important to get out and meet our representatives face-to-face. Our aim is to provide affordable healthcare support to the widest possible community, while remaining committed to being trustworthy, friendly and caring, and we feel that area meetings are just one of the ways of achieving this.”

The area meetings begin in Glasgow on 18th March, followed by Leeds on 19th, Birmingham on 20th, before finishing in London on 21st.
