Health Shield – one of the UK’s leading health cash plan providers – has bagged a handful of high-profile nominations at the prestigious Health Insurance Awards 2012.

The non-profit making Friendly Society has been shortlisted at the highly-respected awards ceremony, run by Health Insurance & Protection Magazine.

Last year, Health Shield scooped the coveted title of Best Healthcare Cash Plan Provider at the premier awards, which recognise and reward excellence in both the intermediary and provider communities. The organisation was also highly commended for both the Health Insurance Company of the Year category, as well as the award for Best Use of Marketing to Intermediaries.

Jonathan Burton, Chief Executive at Health Shield, commented: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted yet again at the prestigious awards. To be consistently recognised by the UK’s leading insurance intermediaries is a tribute to the dedication and hard work of the entire team at Health Shield.”

He added: “The awards demonstrate the significant strides that are being made at Health Shield and the growing reputation we are building across the industry as a whole.”

The award nominations come just weeks after the health cash plan provider was shortlisted for two other highly sought-after awards at the 2012 Cover Excellence Awards. Health Shield will vie for the Best Cash Plan Provider and Best Service awards in October.

The Health Insurance Awards will be held on 18 October at the Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London.
